Evans Church of Christ
Evans, Georgia
Here is a list of some of the programs which we support and participate in:
LISTEN TO: Radio Program
AM 1050 - WFAM
(Broadcast by Timothy Sparks & Ben Bailey - Sponsored by the McLish Avenue Church of Christ in Ardmore, OK)
VISITATION
Your help is needed. We have many on our lists in need of a visit, a card, or even just a telephone call. Sunday Night For The Master will be conducted every first and third Sunday of the month about ten minutes after the close of Sunday evening services in the fellowship hall. Please stop by and see Trent Mercer and get a name or two to contact. Extend your hand of friendship and servitude to someone. You will be glad you did!
SIGN MINISTRY
Thanks to our volunteers, Evans is using their sign for something a little more than announcing. A "Thought For The Week" in just a sentence is used to hit home a special message from God's Word. There is a different thought on each side of the sign. May this effort work wonders in people's hearts with the hope of drawing them closer to the Lord. Check out the latest weekly messages and let us know what you think!
Missions of Evangelism The Evans church is well involved in the efforts to heed Christ's Great Commission to "Spread the Good News." There are many efforts and great works that receive continual support from the church here. Many of these laborers are working in Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Panama, Russia and the Ukraine. We use TV programs and basic "word of mouth" plus our example of Christian living to share God's will with as many as possible. Please remember to do your part and keep the prayer lines open to God for His constant support and leadership in all that we do. Remember to put Him first always!
Raintree Village Children's Home is very thankful to Evans for participation in their food route collections. The trip to the Evans area filled their truck with needed, requested, items -- paper products, groceries, thrift items, cash, clothing, furniture, cleaning supplies, gift cards, quilts, canned goods, toys, and other miscellaneous donations. All of these donations are used, in one form or another, to care for the boys and girls here. Thank you for continuing in this vital aspect of child care. Raintree Village continues to need your assistance, more than ever, on this food route and any other way you can help us care for these boys and girls. God has given us the opportunity and facilities, and you provide what's lacking. Thank you from all of us, and may God continue to bless you. G. R. Holton, President - Raintree Village, Inc.
Our Food Pantry Trent Mercer is in charge of our Benevolence and is always in need of something to keep our Food Pantry stocked and ready for someone in need. Remember to bring something in today. See Trent Mercer for what his immediate needs might be.
